Mattawa River - One Day Guided Trip
A day on the Mattawa River

Enjoy a guided one day canoe trip down the historic Mattawa River.

This Canadian Heritage River was paddled 6000 years ago by the Algonquin People before being used by early explorers such as Samuel de Champlain, and as a fur trade route by the Voyageurs, making this river a major part of Canadian history.

The day begins with orientation and canoeing instruction. When your party is ready, the adventure begins. Starting in Mattawa River Provincial Park, your journey will be guided by the qualified and knowledgable guides of Algonquin North Wilderness Outiffters. Travel through pristine wilderness offering views of spectacular scenery encompassing the historic Mattawa River.

The days outdoor adventure will adjourn in Samuel De Champlain Provincial Park.

Trip includes; Lunch, Canoes, Paddling equipment, shuttle service and guide.
